Canal Nacional is the most important man-made active waterway within Mexico City, as it was the main supply route for transporting food and building materials for more than 2,000 years. As the oldest linear park in Mexico City, Canal Nacional is a survivor of the automobile era.
Residencia Semilla is a program that aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between citizens, designers, architects and experts from different areas and sectors in Mexico and the world.


Miramontes Pumping Plant
The project consists of reactivating the old pumping plant so that the water can be reused, this building will also have a water reinterpretation center for the community to learn the history and process of water in the National Canal, the existing crane will be transformed into a viewpoint of the city and finally all the wasted space will be transformed into a park, this project being the end and the beginning of the entire waterway.

Czda. de la Viga Bridge
The vehicular bridge that today is a barrier not only for people trying to cross the street but also for the fauna of the site, which makes the site very unsafe. That is why we propose to build a new elevated bridge that will allow people to cross underneath by creating a plaza underneath the bridge with small spaces for commerce or services.

Colorines Bridge
It is now one of the most used pedestrian bridges in this area, today the bridge is used for different activities that the community organizes such as workshops, however, the space is now too small. This is why the latest project consists of expanding the existing bridge and placing a temporary structure to make a deck.
