Oak House

Project: Oak House

Type: Residential

Location: Edo Mex, Mexico

Areas: 2,500 m² (2,500 sq.m.)

Located in a forest overlooking the lake, the house develops organically on the site, providing views and light to all the spaces of the architectural program. This is achieved through a play of volumes and walls of stone, wood and sloping tile roofs. A sober access with a rotunda and fountain take advantage of the slope of the land and are the introduction to the house that is integrated into the landscape through a landscaping of endemic species. Large terraces and balconies connect the interior with the exterior through large windows and folding glass doors. The overall result is a contemporary and sober architecture that evokes the prairie houses.
